Senior Project Officer, Mobility
You. At the centre of big ideas.
About the Team
The Workforce Mobility Placement (WMP) Program is an NSW Government initiative led by the Premier’s Department with a whole of government remit. We focus on retaining talented public sector employees by matching individuals impacted by organisational change with available roles across government - before those roles are advertised externally. Our work contributes to keeping essential skills and experience within the sector and supports smoother career transitions. By facilitating placements without formal assessments or interviews, we help employees remain engaged and develop new career pathways that contribute to the work of government.
About the Role

You’ll play a vital role in supporting the delivery and continual improvement of the WMP Program, which connects NSW Government employees impacted by organisational change with new employment opportunities across the public sector. Your work will directly contribute to retaining valuable talent and capability within government.
In this leadership and operational role, you will manage and deliver mobility related programs and projects end-to-end, build collaborative stakeholder relationships across the state government system, and use data driven insights to drive program improvements. You’ll enhance processes to improve placement outcomes, stakeholder experience, and prepare briefs and advice for senior leaders. This role leads from the front and drives collaboration across teams to support system upgrades and change initiatives.
This is a unique opportunity to shape how public servants experience mobility and continuity of employment in times of organisational change.
