Senior Consultant – Sustainability Strategy & Reporting​

Key Responsibilities​

1. Client Development and Management​

  • Contribute to business development, including proposal writing and thought leadership, to expand Longevity’s US sustainability advisory practice.​

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for US-based portfolio clients, managing delivery quality, timelines, and stakeholder engagement.​

  • Provide strategic sustainability and ESG advice including disclosure strategy, performance benchmarking, and investor communications.​

  • Facilitate executive workshops and present findings that bridge sustainability with business priorities.

2. GHG Accounting and Carbon Reduction Strategies​

  • Lead measurement, calculation, and reporting of Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions for client portfolios.​

  • Develop and implement GHG accounting methodologies in line with the GHG Protocol SBTi guidance, and local regulatory requirements.​

  • Integrate carbon footprint assessments into strategic advisory recommendations, helping clients set science-based targets and net-zero roadmaps.​

  • Help clients develop data-driven pathways for carbon reduction and net zero alignment.

3. Data Management & Oversight​

  • Oversee ESG data systems and workflows, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and audit readiness.​

  • Collaborate with internal data teams to streamline automation, improve data quality, and integrate with reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or other platforms).​

  • Develop and enhance systems and processes for delivering best-practice sustainability performance management and governance systems for monitoring and/or reporting purposes.​

  • Strengthen client data governance practices and develop scalable processes to manage complex portfolio data.

4. Sustainability Reporting & Disclosure​

  • Lead ESG and sustainability reporting programs across key standards (GRESB, ISSB, CDP, GRI, SASB, PRI, TCFD).​

  • Oversee sustainability reports and disclosures, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with recognized standards.​

  • Manage data collection, validation, benchmarking, and assurance-readiness processes for investor-grade outputs.​

  • Advise on reporting requirements and help clients stay ahead of evolving regulations and frameworks (e.g., CA climate disclosure, CSRD, SFDR, etc.).​

  • Translate reporting outcomes into actionable insights that inform sustainability strategy, investment decisions, and asset performance.​

5. Internal Collaboration & Mentorship​

  • Mentor junior consultants, supporting their technical growth and consulting skills.​

  • Contribute to the development of internal methodologies, tools, and training that enhance sustainability advisory capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience​

​5–8 years of experience in ESG consulting, corporate sustainability, or responsible investment, ideally within real estate, infrastructure, or private equity.​

​Broad understanding of sustainability and ESG advisory within the real estate sector with expertise in the following:

  • - GHG accounting​

  • - Benchmarking​

  • - Materiality assessment​

  • - Goal setting (SBTs, net zero, etc.)​

  • - Sustainability strategies and programs​

  • - Decarbonization roadmaps and pathways​

  • - Climate risk assessments​

  • - Green lease strategies and programs


​Expert understanding of relevant standards: The GHG Protocol, SBTi, GRESB, GRI, ISSB, CDP, PRI, SASB, or TCFD.​
​Familiarity with financial and operational data analysis, including links between ESG and asset value.​
​Advanced skills in Excel. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or ESG data platforms preferred.​
​Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data for senior stakeholders.​
​Proven experience in leading diverse teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.​
​Strong decision-making skills with the ability to take responsibility for team outcomes.​
​Strong project management and client relationship management capabilities.
