An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and passionate Senior Sous Chef to join a prestigious kitchen team in Omagh. The role involves supporting the Head Chef in all aspects of food preparation, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation across a restaurant, bar, weddings, and events.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, creativity, and a hands-on approach to managing kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment while upholding the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

️ Prepare and present high-quality dishes to the highest standard.

Maintain consistency and portion control in all food preparation.

Stay up to date with culinary trends and contribute to menu development.

‍ Oversee the kitchen during service, ensuring smooth operation.

Monitor stock levels, control waste, and manage kitchen budgets.

Ensure strict hygiene, food handling, and health & safety standards.

Provide training, mentoring, and support to junior kitchen staff.

Foster a positive and collaborative kitchen environment.

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

𝐄𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥:

Minimum 4 years of experience in a busy, high-paced kitchen.

Expertise in various cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.

Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining quality & efficiency.

Strong understanding of modern culinary trends and evolving food styles.

Attention to detail, creativity, and strong presentation skills.

Professional cooking qualifications and Food Hygiene certifications.

𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞:

Previous experience as a Senior Chef with team management responsibilities.

Experience in menu planning, costing, and budgeting.

Knowledge of food allergies, dietary requirements, and nutritional considerations.
