With a commitment to excellence and water safety, the City of Seattle's eight indoor swimming pools offer a wide selection of swimming lessons, recreational swimming, and fitness opportunities. The Senior Lifeguard position requires knowledge of advanced principles, methods, practices, and procedures of lifesaving, first aid, and water safety instruction. This position works under general supervision and is distinguished from the Aquatic Center Coordinator, Assistant in that the Senior Lifeguard has lead responsibility for Lifeguard instructional program planning, development, and operations and for training Lifeguard staff.
