We are seeking a Part -Time Senior Accountant to join a fantastic firm of chartered accountants based in Ramsgate.  This is a varied general practice position which will offer valuable experience and exciting challenges. Our client is open to candidates looking to work 3 or 4 days a week. Our client is a well -established and market -leading firm of chartered accountants who provide a mixed accountancy service to a range of owner -managed business clients across Kent.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

In this role, you will:<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/div>
  • Plan, prepare, and review accounts, bookkeeping, and VAT for a variety of clients<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Prepare personal tax returns and corporation tax returns<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Assist clients with their accounting software, including Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Ensure work is being undertaken in the most efficient manner<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Provide ad hoc support to the partners<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Train and mentor trainees within the department<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Handle client queries in a positive and client -focused manner<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li><\/ul><\/span>

    Requirements<\/h3>
    • You will be AAT or ACA/ACCA qualified, part qualified, or qualified by experience.
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • You will have 3 -6 years experience within practice and have hands -on experience of preparing accounts and tax work for clients.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

      Benefits<\/h3>
      • £35,000 - £50,000 FTE dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
